Sundaram Web & Print Design, Online Marketing, and Web Hosting - Austin, TX - Tupelo, MS

Graphic Designer / CSS + HTML Guru

Ideal candidate will be responsible for working with Sr. Designer and development team to design websites and print pieces for our clients that meet functional requirements and marketing goals.

Responsibilites and Duties

  • Modify, create and implement marketing and boutique websites for a diverse list of clients on Drupal, WordPress and Magento E-Commerce platforms
  • Create online marketing materials, including banner ads and email templates
  • Maintain and improve existing client websites
  • Work with Senior Designer to create a variety of print campaigns and identity solutions, including annual reports, logo design, magazine layouts and brochures.
  • Successfully work in a multi-tasked environment

Requirements

  • Local applicants only (Austin, Texas)
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Flash skills a plus. Attention to pixel-perfect detail a must.
  • Expert knowledge of W3C compliant HTML, CSS, and Javascript with at least 2-3 years of working experience required. Proficient knowledge of jQuery, PHP a plus.
  • Working knowledge of design and development compatibilities in all major web browsers (Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 3+, Chrome, Safari)
  • Experience with one or more of the following open source platforms: Drupal, Magento Commerce, Wordpress, ModX, Joomla.
  • Ability to work well with a group of dedicated creatives.
  • Must have versatile portfolio of live websites.

Open source web developer

Responsible for working with Sr. Developer and design team to develop web sites and web based applications for our clients that meet functional requirements and marketing goals.

Responsibilites and Duties

  • Installation and configuration of a variety of open source systems
  • System updates and maintenance
  • Design content structure around design goals and client needs. Provide final HTML to design team for skinning
  • Design and implement permissions system based on varying user roles
  • Map technical requirements to existing open source systems/subsystems
  • Write new or customize existing subsystems to achieve desired functionality
  • Support systems throughout the development lifecycle
  • Assist in estimating project resources and timelines

Requirements

  • Local applicants only (Austin, Texas)
  • Proficient in PHP
  • Proficient in the use of MySQL on a variety of hosting platforms, including shared hosting environments.
  • Working knowledge of design and development compatibilities in all major web browsers (Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 3+, Chrome, Safari)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, javascript, jquery, XML
  • Working knowledge of LAMP stack
  • Working knowledge of Subversion source control system
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with one or more of the following open source platforms: Drupal, Magento Commerce, Wordpress, ModX, Joomla.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with the Zend PHP framework.
  • Design skills / understanding a plus!
